Our story
Good things, good prices, passed forward
Sprout & Home started with a simple idea: kids outgrow clothes so fast — and the same goes for toys. Interests change, kids grow, and suddenly you have a closet full of things someone else could love. It's also fun to find something new for your home or freshen up your wardrobe for a special occasion. Why let good things sit in a landfill when they can find a new home? Rehoming outgrown goods means less waste, better prices, and something for everyone — including a great spot to get holiday shopping done.
How it started
Like most parents, our family has a fair share of closets full of barely-worn clothing, toys only played with for a season before the appeal wore off, and home goods that no longer fit the space. Donating felt good but impersonal. Selling on social media platforms felt complicated and time consuming. There had to be a better way.
Sprout & Home was born out of that frustration — and that hope. A place where secondhand isn't a compromise, it's the point. Where every item is inspected, honestly described, and priced to move into a home where it can be loved again. You'll also find new items mixed in — because sometimes the perfect find just happens to be fresh off the shelf too.
Some of those new items come to us because a box got dented in shipping, or a retail store pulled them from the floor over a minor cosmetic flaw that has nothing to do with the product inside. These things are perfectly good — they just need someone willing to look past the packaging. We think that's worth something, and we'd rather give them a second chance than see them discarded.
We're a small, family driven Midwest-based shop run by real people who care about what we sell and who we sell it to.

We grade every item ourselves — New, Like New, Good, or Fair — so you know exactly what you're getting before it arrives. Any flaws will be noted in the product description.

We don't list just anything. We list the good stuff — items we'd buy ourselves and feel good passing on to you!
Keeping prices low for everyone
To keep our prices as low as possible and our shop running smoothly, all sales are final. We appreciate your understanding — it's what makes this model work for everyone.

We do not accept returns. Every item is carefully inspected and honestly described before listing, so you can shop with confidence.
No exchanges
